Corporate Counsel and Operations Manager

Dana brings 15 years of experience in real estate and construction to SBSA.
Dana received his Bachelor of Arts from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. After several years in the physical trades, Dana pursued and earned Juris Doctorate and later earned his Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver.
Dana is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Idaho and has a transactional law background, which includes experience in entity formation, drafting/negotiating contracts, managing corporately held commercial real estate and managing construction contracts. Prior to becoming Corporate Counsel & Operations Manager for SBSA, Inc., Dana worked with the in-house real estate team at a multi-billion dollar international company, helping manage 30,000,000 square feet real estate, including acquisition, disposition, leasing and construction.
Dana teaches courses regularly for several trade organizations about risk management and contracting fundamentals including the Association of General Contractors (AGC), the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) and the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). He has also taught professional courses accredited by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
When he is not working, Dana teaches at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and he is an instructor for the Emerging Leaders Program offered by the Small Business Administration in Spokane, Washington.  He is an active volunteer in the community and Dana has performed pro bono work for Elder Justice Colorado, the Colorado Bar Association’s Colorado Flood Relief Task Force and the North Idaho Violence Protection Center. He has also served as Scholarship Chair of the Denver Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and he is actively involved in his church and a Colorado based ministry, Men at the Cross.
