Jerod holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Masters of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jerod has experience in structural design and detailing of light-frame residential and commercial structures. He has designed and managed projects including custom, production, and multi-family residential and commercial structures utilizing wood, cold-formed steel, masonry, concrete, and steel. This experience has given him a greater understanding of what is required during the design process, so that as an investigator he can effectively evaluate structures for construction and design defects and compliance with building code requirements. Jerod is a registered engineer in the States of Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia. He is also a Certified Level 1 Infrared Thermographer, has a Level 1 Unbonded – Field Installation certification from the Post-Tension Institute, and has completed the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Safety Assessment Program for Disaster Response.
